Angela Carney representing NCBF as new board member of CENE

We’re delighted that NCBF Board member Angela Carney, has joined the board at Constructing Excellence North East (CENE) to represent NCBF. Her appointment follows the retirement of Jeff Alexander, who represented NCBF on the Board for many years.


Angela is the managing director at Carney Consultancy who provide professional health & safety training and consultancy services, at an affordable price, to the Engineering and Construction industry.


CENE is the regional partner to Constructing Excellence, the single organisation charged with driving the change agenda in construction, housing and regeneration. Their mission is to deliver improved industry performance resulting in a demonstrably better built environment. Their vision is for the UK construction industry to realise maximum value to all clients, end users and stakeholders and exceed their expectations through the consistent delivery of world-class products and services


Angela Carney, said: “Being able to take a position on the CENE Board is a privilege, as its members are an inspiration to our industry with their enthusiasm, professionalism and desire to make the construction sector the very best it can be, particularly when it comes to attracting and retaining skilled people.


“I want to continue the good work of Jeff Alexander and hope to be a voice for the recognition and celebration of the trades within our industry and to help champion the OneVoice construction strategy.


“The strategy aims to build a successful, sustainable and inclusive construction industry, equipped with the people and technology to deliver a carbon neutral-built environment by 2050, if not before.”
