NCBF are proud to support National Apprenticeship Week 2023

The National Apprenticeship Week 2023 theme this year is 'Skills For Life'. The week will reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and help businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with skills for the future.

NCBF are a major supporter of apprenticeships and have provided support to member company apprentices through the NCBF Apprenticeship Bursary Scheme over a number of years. The bursary scheme, which has delivered over £100k in bursary awards, was introduced as an initiative to help SME's recruiting apprentices and ease the uncertainty of budget and reduce the skills shortage in the industry.

Awarded via the scheme most recently are NCBF member companies Brickwork Direct and Historic Property Restoration. A number of their apprentices will receive funding throughout their qualifications, which include bricklaying and stonemasonry.

NCBF continue to work alongside partner companies to encourage more young people to join the construction industry.
